Office Procedure Information Sheet

This office usually has three lawyers and several office administrative assistants. We handle court cases in several different counties, ranging from Colusa to Tehama, in addition to Chico and Oroville, as well as DMV hearings in Oroville and Sacramento.

Our office is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, I assure you, there is usually an attorney in this office by 6:00 a.m. and frequently until 7:00 p.m., in addition to most weekends in order to keep current on legal research, letters, and returning emergency phone calls.

On a daily basis, we also review the written correspondence sent to this office, e-mail, pleadings, and documents from courts, district attorneys, and expert witnesses.

My staff is extremely experienced and will be able to assist you in regard to general questions about your case. In addition to speaking with my office staff, it is helpful if you submit to me in writing, either by e-mail, mail, or fax, any questions and/or concerns that you have. I will respond to your inquiries in writing.

If possible, please send all correspondence either typed or printed legibly. Also, make sure any correspondence that you send (including checks), fax, or e-mail, have your name on it as we often receive witness statements, checks, and the like, without the client’s name on it.

After each court appearance I make on your behalf, I will send you a letter or email explaining what took place, when the next hearing date is, and when I will need to meet with you, in addition to other miscellaneous items and information. If anything extraordinary happens, I will contact you telephonically.
